Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

Color Hunt is operated by Oğuzhan Kayan in Silivri, İstanbul, Türkiye. Oğuzhan Kayan is the data controller for information described in this policy. For privacy questions or requests, email oguzhankayan@outlook.com.tr.

2. Scope

This policy applies to the Color Hunt iPhone application (the “App”), the Color Hunt website, and support communications. Color Hunt version 1 is a solo experience with no account sign-in, cloud archive, multiplayer, advertising, or public social feed.

3. Information kept under your control

Hunts and photos

The App stores the color, photo count, optional title, timestamps, match results, and photos used in each hunt. The App also creates exported images when you ask it to. This content is processed locally and is not uploaded to Color Hunt or RevenueCat.

Hunt photos and other App files may be included in an iCloud or computer backup if backup is enabled for your iPhone. Apple controls that backup service under your Apple account settings; Color Hunt cannot access your backup.

Optional local profile

You may add a first name, handle, or profile picture to personalize the App. These fields do not create an account, remain on your iPhone, and are not uploaded to Color Hunt.

Local notifications

If you allow notifications, the App schedules hunt reminders and milestones locally on your iPhone. Color Hunt does not operate a push-notification server and does not receive a push token.

4. Camera, Photos, and sharing

• Camera: used when you capture a hunt photo.
• Photo Library read access: requested when you choose Build from memories, so the App can find color matches among the photos you permit. Matching happens on-device.
• System photo picker: used when you sample a color or choose a profile image.
• Photo Library add access: requested when you save an export.
• Share sheet: sends an export only to the person, app, or service you select. That destination's privacy terms then apply.

Permissions are requested in context. You can change them at any time in iOS Settings → Color Hunt.

5. Information sent off-device

Purchases — Apple and RevenueCat

The RevenueCat SDK is used to display subscription options, verify Color Hunt Pro access, process purchase results, and restore entitlements. RevenueCat may process a pseudonymous App User ID, App and device information, network metadata, storefront and product information, App Store receipt/transaction data, subscription status, and entitlement history. Apple processes the payment and payment-card information; Color Hunt does not receive your card details.

Support email — Microsoft

If you email us, we receive your email address, message, attachments, and the technical details your email service supplies. Microsoft provides the operator's email service. Do not send sensitive information or photos unless they are necessary for your request.

Website delivery — Cloudflare

Cloudflare hosts and protects this website and processes ordinary request data such as IP address, browser/device details, requested URL, timestamps, and security logs. Color Hunt does not intentionally set website cookies, run website analytics, serve advertising, or use cross-site tracking on these pages.

6. Why information is processed

• With your consent: device permissions you choose to grant.
• To perform a contract or take requested steps: subscription purchase, entitlement verification, restoration, and support you request.
• For legitimate interests: website security, fraud prevention, service reliability, and answering messages, where those interests do not override your rights.
• To meet legal obligations: transaction, consumer-protection, tax, and lawful-request requirements that apply to the operator or providers.

7. Providers and disclosure

We use only the providers needed for the functions described above:

• Apple — App Store distribution, in-app purchases, device permissions, backups, and the iOS share sheet. Apple Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat — subscription options, entitlement management, and restoration. RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
• Cloudflare — website delivery and security. Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
• Microsoft — operator email hosting. Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Providers may process information only for the services described here and under their applicable agreements and law. We do not authorize them to use App data for Color Hunt advertising, and we require protections consistent with this policy and applicable privacy requirements. We may also disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect users, rights, or safety.

8. No sale or behavioral advertising

Color Hunt does not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, use advertising SDKs, or track you across apps and websites owned by other companies.

9. Retention and deletion

• On-device content: remains until you delete a hunt, replace the relevant profile content, use Delete all local data, or remove the App. A separate Apple-controlled backup may remain until you delete or replace that backup.
• RevenueCat and Apple purchase records: retained as needed to maintain entitlement and transaction history, prevent fraud, support restoration, and meet legal obligations under each provider's retention rules.
• Support email: normally deleted or anonymized within 24 months after the request is resolved, unless it is needed longer for security, dispute, or legal reasons.
• Cloudflare logs: retained under Cloudflare's security and operational settings; Color Hunt does not create a separate copy.

10. Your choices and rights

You can delete individual hunts or use You → Data & Privacy → Delete all local data to remove local stories, photos, profile details, chapters, and reminders from the iPhone. You can also change Camera/Photos/Notification permissions in iOS Settings, cancel a subscription in Apple subscription settings, and remove the App. Deleting local data does not cancel an Apple subscription. To request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a portable copy of information controlled by the operator, email oguzhankayan@outlook.com.tr.

Because Color Hunt has no account, we may hold little information that can be reliably matched to you. We may ask for limited details necessary to verify and locate a support or purchase record. We aim to answer within 30 days or the period required by applicable law.

Türkiye

People in Türkiye may exercise the rights listed in Article 11 of Law No. 6698 (KVKK), including learning whether personal data is processed, requesting information, correction or deletion, learning recipients, objecting to certain automated results, and requesting compensation where the legal conditions are met. You may also complain to the Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu after following the applicable request procedure.

EEA, United Kingdom, and other regions

Depending on your location, you may also have rights to withdraw consent, object to or restrict processing, and complain to your local data-protection authority. California residents may request to know, correct, or delete covered information and will not be discriminated against for exercising applicable rights.

11. International processing

Apple, RevenueCat, Cloudflare, and Microsoft may process information in Türkiye, the European Economic Area, the United States, and other countries where they operate. Where required, processing and transfers are subject to applicable safeguards, provider agreements, and legal transfer mechanisms. Completing a purchase or contacting support may therefore involve processing outside your country.

12. Children

Color Hunt is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child sent information to us can request deletion through the contact below.

13. Security

App files use standard iOS protections, and network traffic to providers uses HTTPS. This website applies transport and browser security controls. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so protect your iPhone and Apple account with a passcode, biometrics, and appropriate backup settings.

14. Changes

We may update this policy when the App or its providers change. The effective date will be updated here. If a change materially affects how App information is handled, we will provide a reasonably prominent notice in the App or on this website before the change takes effect where required.
