Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Color Hunt (the "App", "we", "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Color Hunt mobile application and related services. By using the App you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Account and sign‑in

When you create an account, we collect the identifiers needed to authenticate you. If you sign in with Apple, we receive the user identifier Apple provides and, if you choose to share them, your name and email. If you sign in with email and password, we collect the email address you provide.

Profile

You may set a display name, optional handle, optional location, and an optional avatar. The display name is shown to people you invite to multiplayer hunts.

Hunt content

We store the hunts you create, including the chosen color, hunt mode, time, optional title and notes, and the photos you take inside the App. Photos are stored as user content tied to your account so the App can show your archive across devices and produce export images.

Camera and photo library

The App requests Camera permission to capture hunt photos. The App may request Photo Library permission only if you choose to import a photo from your library or save an exported image to Photos. Permissions are requested in context and can be changed any time in iOS Settings.

Multiplayer (private invites)

Multiplayer hunts are private and invite‑only. When you host or join a hunt, we store the participants list, an invite code, optional location, and optimized image and thumbnail uploads needed to keep everyone's boards in sync. Guests who join without signing in are identified by a stable per‑device guest session identifier so we can attribute their photos and slot allocations within that single hunt.

Support

If you contact support, we receive the email address you write from and the contents of the message so we can reply.

Diagnostics

We do not currently use third‑party analytics or advertising SDKs. We may use logs and aggregated diagnostic information to understand crashes and performance and to improve the App. If we add an analytics provider in the future we will update this policy and disclose the provider here.

How we use information

• Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• Save and sync your hunts, photos, and exports across your devices.
• Operate private multiplayer events, including invite codes, participant lists, and live photo sync.
• Render and export your color stories.
• Respond to your support requests.
• Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security issues.
• Comply with legal obligations.

Service providers

We use a small set of vendors to run the App:

• Supabase — backend database, authentication, file storage for photos, and realtime services.
• Cloudflare — hosting and delivery of this website.
• Apple — Sign in with Apple, App Store distribution, push notifications, and in‑app purchases when enabled. Apple handles all payment information; Color Hunt never receives your payment card data.

Purchases

If and when subscriptions or in‑app purchases are offered, payments are processed by Apple under your App Store account. Color Hunt receives only the entitlement status needed to unlock paid features. We do not collect or store payment card information.

Sharing of information

We do not sell personal information. We share information only with the service providers listed above, with people you explicitly invite to a multiplayer hunt, with anyone you choose to share an exported image with, and where required by law or to protect rights and safety.

Data retention

We retain your account, hunts, and photos while your account is active. Multiplayer events that are abandoned in a "waiting" state past their expiry are automatically cancelled. You can delete individual hunts and photos at any time inside the App. You can delete your entire account from Settings → Delete account; deletion removes your account row and the data tied to it.

Your rights

You can access and edit your profile inside the App, delete individual hunts and photos, sign out, or delete your account. You may also email oguzhankayan@outlook.com.tr to ask about your data, request a copy, or request deletion. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under local law (for example GDPR or CCPA), including the right to object to processing or to lodge a complaint with a regulator.

Children

Color Hunt is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use industry‑standard transport encryption, row‑level security in the database, and signed URLs for media. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong password and protect your device.

International transfers

Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on lawful transfer mechanisms.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App evolves. We will change the "Effective" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated in‑app or by email.
